Participants climb 69 floors and 1,311 steps while gaining 788 feet of vertical elevation to reach the finish line observation deck overlooking the entire Puget Sound. The Big Climb supports the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, raising money through individual and team fundraising, sponsorship and entry fees. In 2015, the event raised a record $2.92 million for blood-cancer research and patient support services. The event achieved an 83% revenue growth since 2010-2012 when it only raised $1.6 million each year.
