My current work experience at Sasktel, previous experience at CBSA and running several political campaigns has allowed me to develop strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.My Computer Networking Technician Certificate program from SIAST provides me with a practical and analytical approach to most phases of the IT and Networking industry. Here I have learned how to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install and assemble computer networking systems and equipment (including routers and other various hardware). To compliment those skills I also have the ability to analyze and manage various types of local area networks. I have extensive e-business knowledge including the usage of such programs and skills as Open Office, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Front Page), Windows Operating Systems (2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10), Linux Operating Systems (Ubuntu and Red Hat), Network Security, Cisco Academy Networking and Wireless Networking, IP Telephony, Use of Active Directory, Microsoft Server ISA 2003 and 2008.I have over five years federal training as a CBSA Officer I have experience planning and conducting investigations under federal legislation in order to maintain border integrity and ensure national security. I have independently enforced search warrants, written court briefs, completed client interviewing/statement taking, and offer particular knowledge in the area of gathering and disseminating intelligence through the screening of visitors and immigrants while working in law enforcement. As a CBSA Officer I have supervised and coordinated the extrication of individuals with criminal records, or have barred entry in to Canada through direct observation and the enforcement of Federal regulations, policies and procedures. From my high level of education achieved and diverse work experience I have developed the necessary competencies to evaluate situations, think critically, and respond with effective problem solving techniques.
