Staff Attorney, Ediscovery
CurrentLitigation: Provide guidance to partners and associates, in matrixed team with in-house counsel, on all stages of complex discovery and litigation strategy, partnering to craft workable and efficient discovery plans to meet broader case needs and goals. Produce high quality results aligned with claims, pending deadlines, and unique data challenges to meet client goals in a timely and cost-effective manner. Specific responsibilities include:• Quickly identify key documents and data to support clients’ claims and work closely with legal and business leaders to prepare effective responses, deposition testimony and court filings to drive favorable results• Coordinate matrixed case teams to effect discovery plans, meet and confer with opposing counsel to agree upon designated custodians, production and deposition schedules, acceptable advanced technology uses, search terms to reduce unneeded collection, review, processing and production of data, and permit resources to be best applied where leverage is strongest• Work directly with client personnel to locate information and individuals who are key to success of claims, conduct custodial interviews and provide guidance on preservation obligations • Consult on requests for production and other discovery mechanisms to lawfully limit discovery scope, including ESI and Protective Orders, to support case strategy and limit production costs • Staff and manage teams of contract attorneys to ensure swift and accurate review of sensitive data while minimizing unnecessary exposure Technology: Primary interface to advanced technology vendors engaged to support large-scale litigation (on hosted platforms, and through Saas and ASP models), including Relativity and iPro Eclipse.
