Repeat.I began in January of 2023 by knocking on doors to find people interested in getting their houses painted.While attending the University of Ottawa, I would take a bus home to Mississauga on the weekends to find leads and provide quotes, and when I was back at school I would call those leads to set up more quotes, organize my production schedule, and hire employees.From May to August once school was finished, I oversaw approximately $130,000 worth of painting production, 100% booked with clients by me and completed by my 5-7 painters (plus me sometimes; we got busy). This business has been a fruitful and lucrative experience that has allowed me to gain many transferrable skills, from making systems and organizing production to hiring employees and managing jobsites.Overall, my time with the Student Works Management Program has allowed me to develop many skills and an abundance of knowldge that I continue to use every day in my business and personal life.

Coached kids, adults, or parents with infants individually and in groups on improving technique in the water and learning how to swim. Trained new employees by guiding their teaching processes and having them shadow my lessons with students in order to develop the skills necessary to teach classes of their own. Appointed to conduct swim assessments, monitor attendance, track student progress, and provide report cards to review and discuss with students and/or their parents. Implemented systems into the curriculum to reinforce student learning and improve the quality of the program, especially with regard to students challenged with learning disabilities and mental health issues. Provided customer service to members, pool maintenance and often first aid as a lifeguard when not instructing swimming lessons.

Attended in person and online training sessions to improve performance and to further develop experience for the position.
