I manage national teams supporting rural, indigenous, and urban communities and schools across the country. Together, we have designed and implemented marketing and programming that has diversified the teacher workforce, integrated local culture and foodways into academic programming, and built regional partnership networks across urban and rural communities. This work has taken the form of partnerships with state and federal agencies, non-profit entities, community advocacy organizations, and local school districts.As Director, I have had the opportunity to lead:- Development and coordination of regional planning hubs to diversify the teacher workforce- Design and implementation of academic programming that integrates local food, culture, and history with state learning standards- Execution of community relations initiatives, including focus groups, surveys, and town halls to gather feedback to inform strategic vision-setting- Training with districts, community organizations, and state departments of education related to talent acquisition, rural equity issues, and equitable access to rigorous instruction- Staff management of small and large teams in both remote and in-person settings- Building connections and action strategies with national rural education partners as well as regional non-profits, and organizations focused on community development- Design, implementation of user testing, and launch of digital marketing strategies - Generation of design and launch plans for marketing and communications collateral, such as regional partnership hub websites, principal toolkit portals, and teacher recruitment websites

Led school district through a redesign of hiring processes, creating tools and policies to improve the diversity and quality of the teacher workforce. Examples included:- HR business process redesign- Vendor proposals and user requirement mapping for critical HR systems- Implementation of multiple HR system modules for principals, compliance officers, and the fiscal department- Communications planning and recruitment website development- Advisement on HR policy decisions during a large scale school district merger- Integration of human capital management best practice into district budgetary practices- Management and coordination of large school operations teams

Greater Memphis Area

Drove development of communications and marketing strategy, as well as enhancements to customer service practices. Examples included:- Designed, conducted user testing, and implemented a customer service interface- Produced collateral and executed a full-cycle recruitment process- Managed an operations team in the collection and reporting of recruitment and staffing metrics- Deployed two internal web portals for housing human capital resources for principals and central office staff

Partnered with local neighborhoods in Memphis to build capacity, increase food access, and elevate avenues for community advocacy. - Designed and directed the launch of multi-site community garden project- Directed marketing and communication, including website design and management- Advisement and advocacy with city leaders on urban housing development initiatives- Director of community engagement strategies- Lead director of after-school tutoring and mentoring program- Coordination of empowerment programs for impoverished individuals and families
