Supported 160 independent organizations operating nearly 900 retail petroleum facilities and 130 carwash facilities across western Canada.• Contributed to sustainability initiatives such as clean fuel standards, diesel exhaust fluid, water reclaim, solar panels and electrical vehicle chargers. Provided leadership to professional engineers and business admin project managers as well as in-scope technical and trades team members. • Successfully managed an annual operating and project revenue budget ranging between $180M-$235M; $235M contributed to a department revenue record year.• Collaborated with project stakeholders to establish strategic priorities, develop project delivery framework and processes including standardization of various types of front end RFP documents, contracts, supplemental conditions, safety and insurance requirements. • Led time sensitive buyout site investigation reviews, budgeting, planning and scheduling of work.• Oversaw field construction teams’ safety procedures, training, maintenance of fleet, equipment and tools.• Provided on-going technical support and training, investigated project and customer feedback; held contractors and consultants accountable to performance and contractual expectations. • Researched and introduced revenue generating third party inspections and systems that exceeded compliance but greatly improved reliability, operations and risk management.

• Successfully completed over 300 downstream petroleum capital corporate and customer projects across western Canada from concept to completion utilizing internal resources, external consultants, general contractors and/or subcontractors. Managed an annual project portfolio up to $40M. • Proficient in project management: phase gating/waterfall and agile project management techniques throughout all project phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout. Consistently sought ways to improve my project and customer services. • Supervised general contractors, sub-contractors and internal in-scope field construction team projects. • Developed a number of project management templates and tools to create and monitor budgets, material take-offs, procurement, shipments, inspections and progress. Templates and tools were adopted and maintained by the project team; improving project efficiencies and consistency. • In 2003, responsibilities increased to leading high profile corporate and customer projects across western Canada. Managed projects in different time zones, learned to adapt and comply with various provincial codes as well as local zoning regulations, bylaws and construction practices.• In 2010, responsibilities increased to managing four drafting technologists while continuing to manage high profile corporate and customer projects. Assigned project proposals to drafting and project teams, reviewed all internal drafting details, supported project teams throughout the project cycle and managed draftings' chargeable services. Led internal drafting services to be eight months ahead of schedule, capitalizing on future tendering opportunities, contractor availability and pricing. • Led pilot testing, organized technician training and deployment of technology upgrades across western Canada. • Conducted lighting evaluation including payback analysis that resulted in pioneering the introduction of LED lighting into co-operative facilities.

In collaboration with FSIN, I assisted an independent professional engineering consultant evaluate the condition of roadways including residential driveways at over twenty southern Saskatchewan First Nation communities. Purpose of the evaluation was to review and report on whether roadway funding was effectively being allocated to maintain all roadways within the community including proper grading, drainage, compaction and final surface. Reports were supported by GPS coordinates and photos along with overall condition ratings of every roadway, suggested corrective actions and/or best practice suggestions if needed. I built trust during the work term to coordinate and complete two roadway surveys independently with First Nation community representatives. It one of my most memorable experiences. I met a number of great people and saw amazing communities within the province that I have never seen before.

A business fire in downtown Saskatoon discovered there was no shut-off valve to isolate the natural gas supply to the building. This created a challenge for Saskatoon's Fire Department resulting in substantial damage to the building and surroundings. My work-term included pulling as-built records of all downtown Regina installations, comparing records, identifying all the gas lines, isolation valves and/or areas to further investigate by field staff. I determined how to isolate each business or zone and the potential impacts by calculating volume within each isolated section that could potentially feed a fire.It was satisfying to determine as-built drawings and field records identified natural gas supply to businesses within downtown Regina could be isolated if a similar situation occurred. Review provided leadership an opportunity to evaluate current status, investigate the condition of assets and whether additional safe guards should be considered.

Completed pump jack and battery field inspections throughout southwest Saskatchewan to confirm adequate signage (for emergency personal), proper construction of containment berms, management of leaks or spills and overall housekeeping. I also completed a number of pressure test verifications with owner representatives to confirm the integrity of well casings no longer in service. Compliance reports were written and provided along with timelines to perform corrective action if necessary.Opportunity required excellent time management skills to organize, coordinate and engage with others within a rather short period of time. It was an enjoyable work term that sparked my career interests in the energy sector.

Gained experience in warehouse, procurement and inventory management. Duties included picking orders for Safeway and affiliated stores, receiving and re-stocking warehouse inventory, as well as warehouse housekeeping as needed. Operated motorized pallet jacks, organized orders safely to maximize cubic area of trailers and minimize shipping costs to customers.
