Ryan Dillon is a vocalist from Gander, Newfoundland, currently studying at Memorial University under the instruction of Dr. Jane Leibel. An avid performer within the community of St. Johns, Ryan has performed numerous roles in both operatic and theatrical productions. Most recent productions include roles from The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Happy Time, Into the Woods and played the title role in Peter Macdonald Productions’ Tarzan. Ryan has also taken to the stage in numerous Dinner Theatre Seasons as a performer of The Entertainment Factory in Gander. Dillon’s ensemble work includes that of the Cochrane Street United Church Choir as a Choral Scholar, MUN Festival Choir, MUN Opera Studies Chorus, and a featured soloist in Gander’s community chamber choir, The Chorus. He has recently accepted a role in Riveting Production’s Cabaret Try to Remember. Although Ryan frequents the stage, he has also been a private music and theatre teacher for much of his life. While primarily training in voice, Dillon has over a decade of private instruction in piano and is a noted clarinetist. Dillon has successfully taught in both choral and individual settings and teaches private voice, theatre and piano lessons to students of any age with a desire to learn. Ryan performs and teaches with the belief that whether you are looking to become the next Broadway sensation or just want to be able to sing along with the radio, you can achieve great success with proper instruction and practice.
