CurrentManage all external communications with public and in charge of media relations. Have received positive media coverage for AUSD in the L.A. Times, Associated Press, ABC 20/20, International Chinese Media, NPR, major L.A. broadcast affiliates, and local press in the second largest media market in the country. Created and executed a 3-year communications plan to help pass an 18-year parcel tax to raise $77 million in local funding. Launched entire social media public outreach campaign with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Weibo, and manage district website. Hold and teach social media workshops for staff. In charge of crisis communication, and branding. Write and distribute newsletters, press releases, and also write stories for our website. Shoot, produce, write, and edit marketing videos. A member of several high-level cabinet committees, and the district's Business Team Committee. Serve as spokesperson for school district. Created and run the Digital Communications Internship at Arcadia High School. Guest lecture and talk to journalism classes throughout the district. Presented a workshop, "Facebook Insights and Analytics: Knowing and Growing Your Audience" on Facebook analytics and engagement techniques at California School Public Relations Association Spring Conference. Attended the following California School of Public Relations Association Annual Seminars/Conferences: "Crisis Planning and Communication""Becoming the Communicators of Tomorrow""Innovative Communication that Supports Student Success" Also attended "Social Media for Disaster Response and Recovery" Workshop and Training hosted by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).Completed the "Active Shooter: What You Can Do" independent study course through FEMA.
