With over 50 million millennial and Gen Z enthusiasts engaged, REVOLT delivers exclusive content from top Hip-Hop artists and real-time cultural updates through many channels including linear TV, social media, live events, and its own streaming app.I developed a deep passion for REVOLT as soon as I joined, just a week before the network's launch on broadcast. Over my 10 years with REVOLT, I've been fortunate to take on a range of projects that expanded beyond the typical accountant's role, tackling many 'firsts' when it was in its startup stage. From creating ticketing platforms for our annual flagship event from 2014-2018 to designing health benefits packages for our production company subsidiaries, REVOLT has provided me with the opportunity to lead a diverse array of successful projects. Through these experiences, along with establishing the production accounting department from scratch, my time at REVOLT has shaped me into an exceptionally adaptable, collaborative, and solution-oriented leader.My accomplishments and responsibilities through the years can be found below.• Implement REVOLT’s ERP system to advance the accounting team’s capabilities, optimizing financial processes by 87.5%• Analyze and manage book assets for all of REVOLT’s productions to develop the annual amortization forecasts and budgets to help the company model for a 26% increase in content spending and achieve a 44% increase in company EBITDA YoY• Spearhead all film & and TV tax credit initiatives creating roadmaps for the entire process and partnering cross-functionally with production management, legal, and tax teams to secure the maximum in tax credits for all qualifying shows• Create and administer digital onboarding solutions in order to process and keep record of over 600 different jobs a year across all of REVOLT's productions

From 2018 to 2022, REVOLT achieved significant growth in engagement, company size, and EBITDA. During this time as the Production Accounting Manager, the company underwent major organizational changes that allowed us to increase our content spend by 400%. It was imperative for me to modify our financial controls to better align with our enhanced production operations and to enhance visibility for our new executive team. This required close collaboration with our creative and production teams to develop solutions that could handle the increased payments, payroll, and other production operations more efficiently, while also ensuring accountability for show budgets. In response to the needs of our executive team, I increased the reporting frequency from monthly to weekly. The systems I implemented, along with improved communication with our C-level executives, ultimately contributed to a 655% growth in our EBITDA margin over those 4 years.A few other notable tasks that contributed to the above achievements:• Presented monthly financial updates for 64 different shows and projects to the chief executive team to strengthen controls and improve transparency of business performance• Researched benefits market to develop REVOLT’s benefits program for our production employees, providing detailed cost analysis to ensure contribution costs stayed within budget while administering 5 competitive plans that best suited employees’ needs• Enhanced financial reporting by implementing show-specific amortization expense tracking and forecasting for 200+ show assets, extending visibility up to 5 years per show• Manage day-to-day processing of payroll for 120+ rotating employees, including review of timesheets and computing pay in accordance with FLSA and local state laws• Offer payroll-related subject matter expertise to management and employees to resolve payroll discrepancies and educate management on evolving labor laws

During my first year at REVOLT, I consistently volunteered to work on REVOLT's most business-critical productions and always went out of my way to support my peers. My superiors recognized my innate leadership qualities and determination, eventually leading to my promotion as the company's first Senior Production Accountant. This role brought new challenges, such as managing 4 of my peers' performance, configuring workflows, and collaborating with department leads outside of production. This opportunity allowed me to channel my leadership and influence into building an empowered accounting team that successfully partnered with 4 distinct production departments. The increased exposure throughout the company also opened the door to the possibility of taking on the special project as REVOLT Summit Registration Manager.Here are the achievements related to the REVOLT Summit Registration Manager project: • Built the ticketing e-commerce platform using a variety of ticketing platforms over the years to promote and sell tickets to our Summit events • Collaborated with business partners and cross-functional teams across various departments including digital, marketing, production, and talent to help bring in over 9,500 attendees across our two Summit events in Atlanta and Los Angeles • Monitored and analyzed sales records and consumer purchasing trends to help build a user-friendly online registration journey, capitalize on successful targeting campaigns, and identify untapped market opportunities • Implemented procedures for processing tickets for all types of sales, including day-to-day processing, marketing initiatives, financial reporting needs, and event promoter settlements

I started at REVOLT right out of college when it was still a start-up network. Working for a start-up was instrumental in my development into a can-do worker and problem solver who can start from square 0 and tackle brand-new challenges for a company. At this point in time, the film & TV production industry was still fairly slow to adopt digital solutions, and many operations were handled on paper. Throughout my early years, I drove our company to do things differently compared to other production companies and move to digital, paperless solutions including payroll onboarding and timekeeping, invoice processing, and p-card expense management.A few of my early responsibilities and accomplishments at REVOLT are listed below:• Implemented, improved, and communicated accounting processes, systems, and policies on a regular basis to improve internal controls and gain additional efficiencies establishing some of the company’s first standardized accounting procedures• Managed day-to-day production accounting tasks including payroll onboarding and processing, cost reporting, and maintaining vendor relationships• Work closely with Production Managers to ensure projects stay on budget and operate efficiently through the life of the production• Compile and review financial information and prepare entries to general ledger accounts within Quickbooks accounting management system
