From a young age I was fascinated and interested about how things worked, especially mechanics and the process of computing. My parents tell a story of me at a young age around the age of 9 tearing apart their brand new computer that had stopped working while they were out to dinner one night and coming home to computer parts scattered all over the living room floor. I told them not to worry and that I could fix it from existing parts from their old machine that were still in working condition. I replaced the part and the computer continued working as it should.That was a pivotal point in my learning and creative thinking which led to a whole slew of added curiosity.. I then learned how to program, and design and troubleshoot computers and then came tearing out motors in automobiles and anything I could find.As I grew older I started to sell and offer my technical advice at a young age and found that I really had a passion for helping people. I love the book "Getting To Yes" the main focus and concentration on this book on negotiation is how can we be hard on the problem and soft on the people. I've found this principle very successful and efficient in working with people. People don't want you to be hard on them and hurt their feelings, they want us to be hard on their problems and fix them.Through my experience in sales I have become proficient in doing this. I went and worked for a small start up company. It was a seasonal summer internship that involved the whole sales process from cold calling to closing and servicing the sale. It was 100% commissioned based. I recruited a small team of 5 sales superstars. We worked for 100 days and were "Hard on the problem." We doubled the original quota that was given to us and raised over $550k in total first year revenue in less than 100 working days.I love the ability to work with people and provide them innovative products and solutions that will provide them a more fuller and better life.
