Supported Quality Assurance (QA) team and Operating Management System (OMS) team in a project to optimize operations and raise safety standards at SATS' In-flight Catering Centre. From the delivery of raw food ingredients to the return and delivery of carts for uplift into passenger planes, we scrutinized the entire production process from start to finish. Once we gained a full understanding, our challenge presented itself in employing creative solutions to minimize or eliminate inefficiencies to raise KPIs and ensure all SG-departing flights were stocked properly and on-time before takeoff. With my time at DHL Supply Chain, my eyes were opened to the on-ground production process of one of Singapore's most important facilities. By befriending many of the workers at the site, I learned to empathize with their daily struggles at work, which taught me the importance of considering how policies or changes implemented by managers would affect these employees. I also learned much more about the Logistics and Transport industry, as well as skills employed by Operations Managers, such as Continuous Improvement (CI) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA).
