Within this role, I have been entrusted with the responsibility of convening both the AMSA National Council and the AMSA National Career’s Conference for 2025. These two events are highly integral parts of the AMSA framework and are milestone events in the organisations annual calendar. AMSA National Council will run across the year on multiple occasions both in person and online. Council is a forum where national executive and AMSA representatives attend to openly discuss and debate AMSA’s policies and procedures. Alongside this, Council also includes reports from AMSA’s sub committee’s and the AMSA Board. As co-convenor, I’ll share the dual responsibility of planning and overseeing the smooth running of these council events throughout the year with the help of a Council team which will be operating under my guidance. AMSA National Career’s Conference is a major event on AMSA’s calendar which aims to educate members of potential career path’s post medical degree. Key objectives of the event are acquiring multiple sponsors, distinguished speakers, a subsequent venue and selling a substantial number of tickets to cover operational costs. As co-convenor for this event, I’ll be tasked with leading a team to meet these objectives and oversee the smooth running of the event.

AMSA is the peak representative body for Australian Medical Students. The organisation promotes equitable health outcomes for all communities and strives to connect and inform the emerging health workforce. Within my position as Council Chair, I have been entrusted with the responsibility to facilitate open ended and unbiased debates and discussions surrounding broad ranges of medical policies that are relevant to ensuring the constant improvement of the health care scene. In the past, these discussions have led to recommendations being passed on to the Australian Government, highlighting the influence and importance that these forums hold on the national level. The position requires both in-person and online engagement. The in person engagement is in the form of AMSA conferences, and the online engagement is in the form of Zoom meetings.

Within this role I act as an academic tutor specifically for the Brisbane Grammar School community which enables me to help develop and support the next generation of grammar academics and more importantly, it allows me to giveback to a community which has provided me with so much.

Within this role, I provide my services in the form of UCAT, ATAR and Medical interview tutoring sessions via zoom or in person tutoring. As a private tutor, I’m given the task of independently advertising and marketing my service along with managing numerous clientele and the responsibilities that come with them.

Monash University Lifestyle Interest Group (MULMIG) aims to increase medical student’s awareness of the importance of lifestyle medicine. In doing so, we aim to empower the next generation of medical practitioners to implement lifestyle medicine in their practise. This involves bridging the gap between health promotion and clinical practise through following the 6 pillars of Lifestyle Medicine: diet/nutrition, physical activity, smoking cessation, alcohol harm reduction, sleep and stress, and social connection. In my position as Sponsorship Manager, I have been entrusted with the responsibility of researching, organising, and implementing sponsors that align with our organisation’s values. Sponsors are required to provide gifts/prizes, fund in-person events, and cover the ongoing operational costs of running the society.
