Member of the Risk Management team analyzing work done by underwriters and checking for accuracy and adherence to corporate and federal guidelines.Previously worked as an underwriter making approve/decline decisions on HAMP modifications. Began as a refinance loan officer operating in a commission sales environment. Oversaw the origination process from point of sale until closing, a process that usually lasted more than 60 days and required the management of 50-plus different loans while taking calls throughout the day and making initial contact with several potential new customers. Identified and offered different loan programs based on variables such as equity, income, credit,location and more. Moved into modifications as part of the bank's response to handle the housing crisis and worked a portfolio of 100-plus delinquent accounts, guiding them through the process and offering counsel and encouragement while working toward a final modification. Each position has provided exposure to a diverse group of clients with unique situations and called for individualized responses.

Covered various golf tournaments around Texas including the 2008 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.Conducted interviews both by phone and in person, learning to quickly establish a rapport with a wide range of people to gain the information for articles. Authored several different types of items including feature stories and pieces pertaining to business. Worked as a photographer to provide pictorial content for the magazine.

Worked for nationally known newspapers and services including the Kansas City Star, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and the Associated Press. Also provided smaller Texas publications with coverage on various sports and sporting events.

Became Sports Editor after covering several different beats including Texas football, the most highly coveted assignment. Managed a team of over 20 sports writers, made decisions on coverage and design while writing a regular column. Also spent one semester as a photographer and won an award for coverage of a protest at the Texas Capitol.

Worked to locate delinquent parents through old contacts, work histories, Internet databases and credit reports from TransUnion, Equifax and Experian. Once located, updated contact information and forwarded account to collections.
