As a research assistant I have taken on a wide range of responsibilities. Primarily, I am a radio frequency electronics designer, project manager, technical report and proposal writer/editor, and experimental setup designer. The following bullet points are provided to specify the responsibilities in each of these roles. Radio Frequency Electronics Designer:-The specialization research I conduct focuses on the use of radio frequency circuits for sensing -This design process includes the entire circuit from the input high frequency oscillator, to the specific RF sensing device (Antennas, Resonators, Waveguides), to the final readout circuit and layout that converts the RF signal into an analog DC signal that can be related to the detection parametersProject Manager:-I have coordinated the completion of Department of National Defense projects on teams of up to 10 people collaborating across a wide range of scientific and engineering backgrounds -In this role I am responsible for creating meetings and taking detailed notes on the progress being made on all fronts, schedule collaboration between groups to complete the research, performing research in parallel, and solving any problems that arise alone the way Technical Report and Proposal Writer and Editor:-I have taken on a role to assist my coworkers edit and write technical reports and scientific articles in parallel with my own research-This has also included submitting first drafts of proposals to my supervisor to acquire additional funding for the lab and our work Experimental Setup Designer:-Many of the experiments conducted in OMEGA lab require experimental setups to control environmental conditions -I have designed, procured, and built many experimental setups including a device which could cool a sensor below the freezing point of water in a humidity controlled environment as well as a temperature and humidity controlled chamber that can stably rise in ambient temperature and humidity
