My position as Information Security officer for the Department of Education, Training (DET) required me to manage and maintain information security systems for a department that supported over 30,000 servers and over 700,000 end users. During the G20 Summit held in Brisbane, it was the responsibility of the Operational Security team to maintain the integrity of the DET network and respond proactively to any and all incidents. Kenmore State High School

- I managed the Kenmore State High School network consisting of over 1800 devices including virtualised infrastructure, desktops, laptops and BYO devices - Provided technical support for 1800 Students and 250 staff members - Project lead in creating a site specific Standard Operating Environments (SOE) - Designed and scripted onsite program to connect BYO devices to site wireless, network drives and printers - Maintained onsite printing hardware - Worked with remote staff for additional support - Custom built Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 images - Worked in team situations to meet project goals faster - Installed and configured software and hardware - Worked with local and international vendors to ensure Kenmore was always using the most up-to-date technology - Repaired faulty or damaged devices - Created technical documentation for the school and the wider community - Project managed the configuration and deployment of over 1000 laptops as part of the Federal Governments National Laptop Program (NSSCF) - Completed entire relocation of Kenmore State High Schools Centre of Network as part of a Million Dollar refurbishment project

Project involved replacing all active server equipment, OS installation, Data migration, backup procedures and replacement of Centre network switches and routers
