About Ryan L.

I am a highly motivated and passionate developer who recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BS/MS in Computer Science and I have a BA in Physics as well. I primarily studied systems software development, but I'm interested in working in a variety of different fields; I love learning new technologies, frameworks and languages.I have course work experience with C/C++, Java, Python and Javascript. Here's a list of some projects I've worked on:- A lightweight DNS caching solution suitable for any Docker container (C, Python, Docker)- A smart IoT based thermometer that used a publish-subscriber model to transfer readings to a client web application (C++, Java, Javascript, AWS IoT, Node.js)- Concurrent kernel modules that used blocking for thread synchronization (C, Kthreads)- Implemented parallel algorithms (matrix multiplication, merge sort) using both Cilk and Pthreads (C, C++)- Visualization of airplane crashes between 1908-2009 (Javascript, D3.js)- A simple database that accepts SQL queries (Java, JUnit)
