As a Regional Medical Advisor within the Medical Affairs division, my role is to support the healthcare community of the North West of England. My focus is with Diabetes, alongside cardiorenal disease and obesity. I am tasked with developing and delivering regional medical advisory services tailored to these areas, ensuring that healthcare professionals have a comprehensive understanding of the scientific basis and clinical relevance.I am responsible for fostering relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare sector, including healthcare institutions and prominent individuals. Collaborating closely with office-based medics and medical information officers, I ensure the effective dissemination of scientific information within the medical and scientific community.Furthermore, I provide medical guidance and training to commercial, marketing and market access teams, contributing to the overall success of Novo Nordisk in the region. Active participation in cross-functional projects and collaboration with clinical teams in Clinical Research activities further enriches my role. My doctoral research involved synthetic biology, genetics, and multi-omic approaches to elucidate the mechanisms of ageing and organelle homeostasis. I used system-wide high throughput profiling to delve into the complex processes at play in these areas. My research has the potential to add a new layer of intrigued into the complex interrelationship of the mitochondria and the autophagy machinery, with the long term goal of understanding mitochondrial disease in ageing. I led a team of 10 road staff and mentored team members while also performing business-critical tasks. As an active member of the patient-facing field team, I worked on the urgent care desk. I have experience in team leadership and patient care.

I successfully relaunched the Wigan branch of Contact the Elderly, recruiting volunteers and collaborating with social services and other outreach programs to identify individuals in need of the charity's support. This effort made a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable seniors in the community.

During a 6-month project with Deloitte and Barclays, I compiled cases for submission to the financial ombudsman, using my skills in legal writing and financial research and reporting. My work on this project contributed to the resolution of disputes and ensured that fair outcomes were achieved for all parties involved.
