I was hired at store # 434 in South Huntsville, AL. to work in the Hardware Department in 1995. Over the course of the next 6 months I was responsible for and worked in over 15 different departments due to my ability to quickly learn and the ability to be flexible. I was hand chosen to set up my department (Hardware & Paint) when the store was upgraded from Division 1 to Supercenter in 1996. After that I was made a "floater" (able to work in any department) by the store manager and was made a "special task" associate. Need a display done, i did it. Need something special set up in Lawn and Garden? I design and execute it. Need 100 "things" put together for a seasonal special?, that's my job. After she left to take a bigger store in 1998, I was assigned to Lay-a-way as their Christmas Support Manager. I then transferred to store # 809 in Oxford, AL so that I could be closer to my wife and kids.
