Maps, maps, and more maps! As a kid, I loved to explore the world through the power of maps, whether that entailed examining the vast expansion of ancient empires, dreaming up future travel destinations, or even pouring over the locations of Champions League teams in Europe each season. With my Geography and Urban Planning studies at Salisbury University, I translated my childhood passion for maps, through accrued GIS skills, into a more holistic understanding of the world beyond the United States. Courses involving the state of the world order, political geography, and international relations fascinated me and led to the completion of an independent story map project examining the characteristics of Russian populations in the Baltics. As a current Master of Public and International Affairs student at the University of Pittsburgh, I am merging my background in geography with that of security and intelligence to gain insight into major conflicts and geopolitical challenges that decision makers face across the globe. I aspire for a future career which uses mapping and predictive analysis to address rising tensions and threats in an ever changing international landscape.
