About Ryan Raymond

I am a recent graduate of SIUE's M.A. in I/O Psychology and M.A. in Clinical Psychology graduate programs. In August 2023, I began working as an HR Compensation Analyst where I have continued to hone my analytical skills while gaining business acumen working for an international company with over 4,000 employees.In my time with BrightPath Kids, I have leveraged Python for big data management and analysis. I have used Power Query to prepare data for visualization within Power BI. Additionally, I have utilized our company’s HRIS system to generate custom reports, allowing for efficiencies in our monthly turnover analysis process. I have also automated several processes through Python, utilizing Pandas and Scrapy.In my current role, I improved the accuracy of our monthly turnover report by asking critical questions to the right people. Through thorough analysis, I was able to determine where errors were present in the report. Through data cleaning and validation of our turnover calculations, I was able to develop a new turnover report. Afterwards, I was able to automate the creation of this modified dashboard report through Python. This process had a significant impact on the numbers we provided to our stakeholders. It wouldn't have happened without asking questions and having curiosity towards my work.Recently, I have began to streamline our company’s annual merit pay cycle by leveraging SharePoint to collect, consolidate, and share data through SharePoint lists, Microsoft Forms, and Excel sheets.I have both real-world and academic experience utilizing my data analysis knowledge and skills to teach others and solve problems in the workplace. I have taught statistics at a graduate level as a teaching assistant. I have applied statistical models to the workplace to complete diversity analyses and validity studies through my work as an external consultant with EASI Consult.My Clinical knowledge helps me to understand and break down business problems through a diagnostic model, identifying and solving problems. It also has given me a better understanding of how assessments can be utilized for business improvements and leadership development. Having a Clinical perspective empowers me to strategically plan for business needs by understanding how to examine a problem holistically and identify it’s root cause.
