• Respond to 911 emergency medical calls on Western University campuses.• Provide pre-hospital emergency care to patients.• Connect patients with additional resources and provide advice on pursuing advanced medical care.SERT is a student-run, volunteer organization providing emergency medical response to 911 calls on Western campuses. We provide service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the academic school year. We are dispatched through the Western Special Constable Service (WSCS) to any medical emergency on campus, responding in three person co-ed teams.

• Serviced over 25 properties on monthly contracts during 2023-24 winter season• Grew business from $3,000 revenue in 2022-23 to over $20,000 in 2023-24 season• Hired a seasonal staff of 5+ based in Toronto

• Provide swim instruction to children aged 0 to 17 years old, helping advance swim ability and confidence in the water.• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans, including instruction, games, and songs. • Broad range of swimming skills and levels taught in and out of the pool, including Lifesaving Society Preschool, Swim Kids, etc.• Engage and develop strong relationships with children and parents.• Communicate and coordinate with parents to book private swim lessons.• Work with a staff of more than 20 lifeguards and instructors. • Provide excellent customer service to members at all times.• Use a POS system to sell guest passes.

• Teach swim curriculum to students aged 1 to 15 in group and private settings• Create detailed report cards and progress updates for each student• Provide excellent customer service to members regarding programs, schedules, and special events.

• Performance of water rescue and emergency first aid when necessary.• Safe & effective supervision of the pool and area during fitness and recreational swims/enforcement of aquatic rules and regulations.• Complete daily pool chemistry and water balance tests to record chlorine, PH, etc. and notify pool maintenance contractors of problems.
