My wife and I owned a duplex In Rexburg Idaho. We lived in one of the units and rented the other out while we were in school. The process of researching, purchasing, and operating this property instilled in me a passion for business. The most fulfilling part of the process was taking a rundown, foreclosed property and turning it into something we were proud of.

My primary responsibility was to organize the work flow of the shop. I Researched and implemented a new software management system, trained technicians and assisted in complex diagnosis and repairs. During my two years of employment, revenues doubled the previous two years. The atmosphere of the business was very hands-off which allowed me to grow tremendously in a very short time.

Served on the Automotive Student Association as the service director and the social director. Planned and supervised a free vehicle inspection event for the community which serviced almost 200 vehicles in one night. Integrated the departments entire inventory into a new software management system. Developed processes to record used inventory and run efficiency reports. Created videos to aid the students and future inventory managers on the established procedures.

I worked primarily as an apprentice to a master technician. I performed routine maintenance on a variety of new and older vehicles and gained proficiency in collision related suspension diagnosis and repair.

After graduating high school, I spent two years in Canada serving people for my church. During that time, I maintained a rigid schedule teaching and performing service in the community. In addition to teaching people about religion, I organized conferences and trained missionaries on teaching methods and time management. I experienced tremendous growth and developed discipline, leadership and teaching skills, and a love of service.

Dundas works is a family owned, seasonal, firework business. I started working there when I was eleven and I grew with the business. I started in a small trailer and spent most of my time cleaning and stocking shelves because I was too nervous to talk with customers. After eight years, I was the leading salesman of aerial fireworks and the business had grown into a large industrial building. I am grateful for parents who allowed me to start working at a young age and I attribute much of my personality and love of people to this business.
