I am a mid-thirties partner & father who plays in a rock band, leads my neighborhood community group, enjoys the simplicity of a washed process coffee, & helps local musicians by providing free instrument setups & repairs in my spare time. I am constantly looking for the next opportunity to learn something new. I view growth as an essential part of life & I aim to be a source of knowledge & comfort to my family, friends, & coworkers.I come from a family of creatives, one that encouraged me to explore the arts from an early age. I began playing the drums at five years old & quickly fell in love with the creative process. Through the years I picked up every instrument that I could, & every time the process of learning humbled me in a new way, but I grew from each experience. From the struggles of simply not understanding something, I learned patience & to seek out new ways of learning. As I stumbled, I found excitement as I worked harder to overcome those hurdles. I found pride in my accomplishments, knowing that I now had a new outlet.I’ve learned a lot by exploring the world through music & art, experiencing the best & worst of times. These experiences have molded me, they influence my reactions, encourage my drive to better myself & those around me, & have encouraged my confidence to be an individual. I am thankful to have learned the value of experimentation, to not be fearful of failure, & to celebrate and praise other’s accomplishments. I take this into every aspect of my life & believe in the value this mindset & attitude brings to my creative & work spaces.In my current role as Outreach and Communications Coordinator at Everett Transit I work to ensure local & regional transit information is easily obtainable & maintain open lines of communication with residents, customers, neighborhood groups, businesses, government agencies, & more. I deliver essential information for Everett Transit as the web editor, social media administrator, community outreach & event planner, & copywriter. Additionally, I create and administer surveys for service changes & capital projects, provide summary reports & presentation preparation for City Council, photo & video content editing, etc.I am now looking to join a team, one that works together to continually improve processes, interactions, & experiences. I am seeking a role that would narrow my scope of work & allow me to elevate my skillset & focus on making more valuable contributions both internally & externally.
