I collaborated with a 50-person team to identify problems and implement solutions to improve inventory management and manufacturing processes at a major automotive manufacturing client. To do this, I had to interface with senior members of logistics, material planning, engineering, and production control departments at the client site to facilities improvements across various departments. I also frequently analyzed data using Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau to evaluate past work and identify areas for further improvement.

Responsible for working with the 5 major projects of AerospaceNU to ensure that they are able to carry out intensive engineering work. These projects range in size from 20 members to more than 50, so the logistical challenges facing them are significant and tend to lack simple solutions. To solve them, I interface with Northeastern's Risk Services department, the Environmental Health and Safety Department, the Center for Student Involvement, the Mechanical Engineering Department, and many other administrators at this university. In this role, I often have to take engineering designs and problems and communicate them in a manner understandable to non-engineers in order to allay safety concerns, justify our funding, and get further support from the university. I also frequently work to coordinate the use of club resources and space between those projects and additional personal projects proposed by club members.

Worked on Project Redshift, a project to launch the club's first liquid powered rocket as a part of the Dollar per Foot Amateur Rocketry Competition. I worked as part of a 5 person systems team to set the direction of the project, coordinate work between different subgroups, and oversee the logistical challenges associated with a project of this scale. I also facilitated communication between key individuals in separate subgroups and provide documentation for design decisions. I also served as the Airframe subgroup lead from January to June of 2021, working with a team of 7 people to design the vehicle airframe and structural components to handle thrust loading and tensile loading from parachute deployment. In the course of this work, I was personally responsible for designing several structural components and bulkheads and redesigning our electronics bay to allow better access to our flight control boards during rocket assembly.

I also often assisted the president in interfacing with Northeastern administration and was primarily responsible for allocating time in the club's lab space as well as interfacing with project leads to ensure that the executive board was meeting their needs.

Worked as part of a 4-person mechanical engineer team to further develop a prototype of a novel power generation system. I was the primarily responsible individual for several key components on the prototype and was also tasked with making numerous improvements to the company's in-house manufacturing capabilities. Over my time on this co-op, I significantly improved the lifetime of a key component of the prototype micro combustor, developed novel manufacturing processes for multiple components, and prepared and executed a variety of complex brazes on a daily basis. I also documented the newly developed processes, my design decisions, and my experimental results, and presented my work to the company on a weekly basis.

Assisting in mechanical engineering design of upgrades and modifications to radar systems at the Haystack Observatory as part of the Advanced Sensors and Techniques Group. I was the primary responsible individual for designing, testing, documenting, and manufacturing a device assist in telescope maintenance at the Lincoln Space Surveillance Complex. I also presented on this project multiple times to the mechanical engineering group and gave a final presentation to the entire engineering department.

Worked as a volunteer at the Flagship Clubhouse in Boston. I worked to help high schoolers access and use advanced technology such as 3D printers and music production tools that they did not have access to elsewhere. I also trained many of my peers to serve as mentors at the Clubhouse.

Over the course of a year, I lead a team of 6 officers in organizing a 1,000 person state conference, advocated on behalf of the Technology Student Association (TSA) to business and industry leaders across the state, and orchestrated statewide membership initiatives to grow state conference by 25%. Through these activities, I grew TSA in the state of Tennessee and promoted career and technical education to students across the state.
