I focus on communicating with the members to collect as much information that I can to provide them with the best recommendation for products and services that satisfy there financial goals. Bar Manager
I started off with the company as a busser cleaning tables and closing down the restaurant in early 2010. Within 6 months I was awarded employee of the month and started working in the kitchen. I learned 7 of the 9 positions in the kitchen and received employee of the month two more times while working in that department. During this time I was also promoted to curb-side takeaway within the following 6 months. From here I got promoted to a waiter and became headwaiter and closer with in 6 months. After having the headwaiter role for a few months, I was promoted to bartending and started taking care of the liquor inventory management. As a headwaiter, I was responsible for counting all the money and processing the correct charge amounts for credit cards at the end of the day.Once I finished my bachelors degree I put a little more focus into the company while searching for careers in my field and got promoted to bar manager. In this position I was in charge of all the ordering for the bar as well as working to make changes to increase sales volume and productivity. The biggest take away I got from working with this organization is that if you focus, work hard and put your mind to what you want to accomplish, you can move quickly in a company. I knew the best strategy for my time in college was to make as much as I could with a limited schedule, so I could focus on my academics and not stress about my financials. I started at the bottom and in two years I tripled my salary and worked less hours all while taking classes. Hard work is not something I am afraid of and only plan on keeping the momentum going.
Client Advisor
My job as a client adviser for BMW of West Springfield was to work with clients and find the vehicle that best fit there needs, life style and budget. I worked to building a relationship with clients to make them feel confident and comfortable with the purchases that they were making and making sure that everything was taken care of for them and make the process effortless. As a client adviser I was also responsible for organizing and compiling all the documents for the finance manager, who submitted the credit applications and prepared all the documents for signing.Gengras BMW was my first competitive sales job and I learned a lot from working with the company. Coming in I still carried the same hunger that I had in the past and I learned that the key to real success is organization. It was crucial to my success in the business and helped me in countless other aspects. I set up a system that I could have all the documents together and ready to go in less than a minute. It also allowed me to have all the documents neat and in order for the sales and finance manager.Working in the sales industry really helped take my customer service to the next level. I have learned how to connect more with clients and how to work with business professionals and provide the service they expect from a luxury brand. Before leaving this company I was offered a chance to work as a Assistant Finance Manger to conduct credit applications and compile the sales documents as well but decided to leave the industry in pursuit to work in the finance sector and get the opportunity to work in investments. My time here was certainly beneficial and I have learned many new habits and work procedures that I will use for the rest of my professional career.
Optician Apprentice
Lens Crafters was my first sales job. In the beginning my roles were to help our customers find the right frames for there lifestyle and the lens that best fit the functionality that they needed. After a couple months I was promoted to the position of being optician apprentice, this allowed me to make adjustment to customers glasses and start working towards becoming a certified optician. During my time there I also conducted the monthly safety inspections for the store and learned how to generate the lenses that were made in house.During my time with this company I learned simple sales techniques that helped me as I progressed to other careers. I learned how to read customers body language and what questions to ask to find what needs the customer needs were. It was a good introduction to the sales environment and understanding some aspects of the medical field.
Managing Partner/Finance Manger
I was a partner in a start up multimedia design company. I joined in after a the original founder had been working on it for about a year. I came in to work with him to try and help the company grow and evaluate the business process and find ways to help make it operate better. During my time there I was able to help cut down some of the expense that Peace of Mind Creative was building to help get more profit going into the company to help it grow. In the beginning I helped change the image a little and worked on some small advertising and promotions to help get Peace of Minds Creative name out there. By the end of 2014 the company had a big update on the image. We shifted from doing personal art designs for people and started to focus more on helping designs and videos for companies and organizations. We also saw the biggest contract for Peace of Mind Creative that was 5X greater than anything else the company had seen before producing a introduction video for an award ceremony for Reset in Hartford Connecticut. The two of us decided that for the time being to hold off on further production to work on our current careers and education before advancing further in the business.
Retail Sales Associate
I mainly worked cashier and helped organize and clean the store. I received employee of the month my first month working here and reported the 2nd highest number of newly opened credit card accounts for that month. In my time with the company as a cashier my drawer was perfect and never had any issues.
