Responsible for driving leads and inquiries into Futurpreneur Canada’s new entrepreneur and volunteer mentor pipelines, while providing business planning support to aspiring entrepreneurs in the start-up phase. At the same time, creating and fostering strong partnerships with key community and strategic partners, resulting in new client engagement and loan portfolio growth.Futurpreneur Canada (formerly the Canadian Youth Business Foundation, or CYBF) has been fuelling the entrepreneurial passions of Canada’s young enterprise for nearly two decades. We are the only national, non-profit organization that provides financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18-39. Our internationally recognized mentoring program hand matches young entrepreneurs with a business expert from a network of more than 2,800 volunteer mentors.

Primary functions include:- Creating and leading business seminars throughout the community- Client consultations (focusing on business plan development and strategic planning, market research, and marketing development)- Completing follow-up communication and collecting economic development metrics- Creating and implementing various marketing and branding tools- Executing monthly reporting of performance to board of directors and Provincial and Regional funders- Deliver provincial program for youth entrepreneurship (Summer Company); interview applicants, arrange program events, manage participants and mentors (up to 45 individuals), assess business plan viability and mentor participants throughout a 3 month + period- Coordinate funding disbursement to Summer Company participants and budget marketing award for Summer Company pre-program activities- Outreach to current and potential community partners (local small businesses, academia, government – municipal, provincial, federal)Projects and highlights include:- Creation of seminars (starting a small business, market research, marketing and sales, Summer Company business plan development)- Assist with the Entrepreneurship program final project at Durham College (2012 – present)- Completed 4 successful Summer Company campaigns (80 student entrepreneurs)- Represent the Business Advisory Centre Durham at Greater Peterborough Resource Alliance and Small Business and Entrepreneurship Advisory Board at Durham College- Futurpreneur Community Partner- Coordinator and director of technology overhaul (designing workflow for Apple based environment)- Briefly appointed Operations Manager for Business Advisory Centre Durham in respect to Executive Director’s leave of absence (2010 – 2012)- Development and implementation of Uxbridge satellite location- Re-introduction of BACD brand to community partners and mending broken relationships
