I am currently part-time Acting CEO for Life Sciences Queensland (LSQ) and part-time Business Development Lead for the Translational Research Institute (TRI) supporting the new TM@TRI. Due to open in 2026, TRI’s translational manufacturing facility (TM@TRI) will become Australia’s first scale-up multi-modal biomedical cGMP facility for maturing, high-potential biotechs, medtechs and pharma. Supported cGMP manufacturing platforms include biologics (including mAbs, fusion proteins, ADCs and bioconjugates), pDNA, mRNA, oligos (such as siRNA), cell and gene therapies (CGT), small-scale fill and finish (drug product) and medtech (such as drug-device combination products).I have over 20 years’ experience in the life sciences sector spanning business development, commercialisation, strategy, manufacturing, grants and incentives, consulting, government relations and industry advocacy. I have extensive experience not only working in Australia but also in overseas markets including US, Europe and APAC, including South Korea, Japan and China. I was the previous Chair for the QLD State Committee at AusBiotech and previous Chair for the Science, Technology & Innovation Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce In Australia (AmCham). I have a Bachelor of Biotechnology from Griffith University, Honours and PhD in immunology and oncology from the University of Queensland and was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre, NY.
