Ryan is a clinical neuroscientist, academic, and healthcare executive based in Australia, and the Founder & Managing Director of Neuroclast, a novel medical device distributor and clinical neuroscience research and development company dedicated to preserving life with onco-functional insight. Having been involved in clinical neurophysiology for fifteen years, he has previously served as Clinical Director and Business Development Manager for two multinational clinical neuroscience and healthcare companies, and has been an invited speaker at medical conferences and meetings around Australia, Asia and South Africa. Ryan is also a Clinical Lecturer and Unit Coordinator with the Faculty of Health and Medicine at the University of Sydney, and an Honorary Fellow and PhD Candidate (Dept. of Neurosurgery, St Vincent's Hospital) with the University of Melbourne. In addition to these roles, Ryan has provided peer review for submissions to the Journal of Clinical Neuroscience and Journal of Neuro-Oncology, and was also elected as President of the Intraoperative Neurophysiology Society of Asia-Pacific (INSA) for 2020-2024. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science from Swinburne University (Melbourne), a postgraduate degree in Management from Griffith University (Brisbane), and has undertaken specialist training in the U.S and the U.K. Ryan’s clinical and research interests focus on the characterisation of tumour-induced neuroplasticity and neuromodulation-induced cortical prehabilitation in lower grade glioma patients, and complex cortico-subcortical mapping in neuro-oncology surgery, having previously introduced contemporary brain mapping techniques throughout Australia, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. For Ryan, Neuroclast is a vehicle representative of his life's pursuit in applied clinical neuroscience, one that will foster a PhD and the sharing of knowledge and education in science, electrophysiology, and medical devices.
