Dear Hiring Manager,For many years, I have been in the security Industry in one form or another. I have always enjoyed a fast paced environment. I have fulfilled rolls such as Personal Protection Officer, Armed Security Guard, Site Supervisor, Shift Manager, and Security Consultant. I started in security in the mid 90’s running over 40 guards at the Skyview Drive In in Santa Cruz, CA. My guards ensured no problems would occur not only at the Drive-In itself, but at our successful Flea Market on Saturdays and Sundays. It was this opportunity that led me to begin a small consulting firm catering to both the Client Side and Security Company Side of the business. Due to the success of the business I retired in 2016 to pursue a new life in Texas.After moving to Texas, I answered an ad to go to work for one of the largest retailers on the planet. At Amazon, I found working in a fast-paced work environment to be an incredible and exhilarating experience. There I worked in the Vender Returns department, turning missteps in our distribution process to opportunities for our business to take advantage of. After three months on the job I was asked to become an ambassador, training the next generation of employees in Vender Returns. In our face paced, everchanging business environment, a concise, effective, training methodology is necessary component of any hiring plan. As a trainer there are times when one of my associates will make a mistake and fail a meet a customer’s or business need. It is at that point as a Trainer, that the opportunity to help them learn from their mistake and grow from it. It is mantra of mine, “No matter what, there is always an opportunity.”Unfortunately, my time at Amazon ended as my nightshift was consolidated into the dayshift. I decided to take a position as a Shipment Tracker working for US Security Associates. There I used my skills to streamline the tracking process and train others on Shadow Track (the software used for tracking shipment GPS receivers). From there I moved on to United Protective Services using my abilities and energy to reinvigorate several posts and positions. from there I took a post at G4S and then finally the current one I enjoy at Allied Universal.
