About Ryan Rogge
My profile picture is an example of the experiments I did during my PhD. The particle pictured is a negative stained transmission electron microscopy image of chromatin fibers self-associating into large globular complexes. A similar process is likely responsible for the organization of chromosomes within nuclei. In my current work we develop NGS assays for cancer patients. These assays use PCR, NGS, and bioinformatics to help clinicians and patients determine treatment plans. I enjoy the challenges presented in developing new functionality and improving existing assays.
