I started my career as a passionate designer/animator but after others helped me recognize my strengths communicating creative and tech to clients and peers, I became a Project Manager for IC Group. I spent 4 years managing interactive promos for leading Canadian brands like Pepsi, McCain and Kraft.For the next 4 years, I moved into accounts conceptualizing, selling and managing online campaigns for America Online. It was an opportunity of a lifetime working part-time managing production in Winnipeg and the rest of my time in AOL’s Manhattan offices with their Impact Marketing Group brainstorming online destinations for our customers.Later, I inherited the responsibility of Director, Creative Services managing a team of creatives; adapting new processes, tactics and strategies as the industry evolved around us on a monthly basis. I helped define and execute multinational loyalty, CRM and online promotions for Kimberly Clark, White Wave, Home Depot, Del Monte and their agencies of record. Time was also spent with a handful of Canadian and US CPG, retail and QSR clients.After 11 years at IC Group, Think Shift brought me on as their Director, Account Services to help run the account team. After a brief 7-month stint, I was transitioned to Director, Agency Services responsible for the growth of Think Shift’s design, UX/A, video, interactive and development teams. I then moved to Victoria, BC to take over as Director of Operations for North Studio but quickly decided to take the plunge into running my own business. The Hatchery is a full-service interactive agency specializing in UX/IA/ID, custom web development and the occasional brand engagement to keep things interesting.
