After 16 great years selling, managing and executing some unreal interactive projects for IC Group, Think Shift and North Studio, we decided to take the plunge and start The Hatchery. The Hatchery is a full-service interactive shop with a heavy focus on UX, Interaction Design and custom web development.

As Director of Operations at North Studio, my primary function is to ensure the overall health of the organization. Overseeing our departments, assisting sales and account managers, conversations with core clients and meeting with potential new clients are all daily occurances. With an extensive creative and strategic digital background, I've helped round out North Studio's core business (Drupal Development) by defining the UX/IA, design and digital marketing departments. I've helped re-work our processes (sales, production and marketing) from the ground up and continue to build both our core client relationships and our internal team culture.

In my role as Director of Agency Services, I head up the "doing" side of the Think Shift business. Overseeing our creative, development, UX/A and copywriting departments is most of my day. Everything from overseeing our short & long-term production schedules, working tightly with my Creative and Dev Directors and our Strategy teams to define all aspects of projects and helping our Account teams drum up new business is status quo for any given week. I love my job!

As Account Services Director, I was responsible for maintaining agency-client relationships, managing a strong team of Account Managers and Executives, and was also responsible for the growth and profitability of key Think Shift accounts. My creative management side took over and I quickly transitioned to my current role.

In this role, I managed all in-house and outsourced creative resources including front end developers, art directors, designers, video editors, copywriters & external agencies.Some of my day-to-day activities included: Creative Brief draft/finalization, over-seeing creative execution, quality and relevancy of all campaigns as well as communicating regularly with partner agencies.Secondary responsibilities included account and sales support - presentation materials and frequent face-to-face presentations with clients.

Account Management for core accounts including AOL, TBS, Time Inc. and Home Depot.Managing all account level activities including project ideation/creative development, managing all contracts, invoicing and documentation and - most importantly - establishing and maintaining relationships and friendships within these accounts.

All of the fun things that go along with Interactive Project Management including (but not limited to) client management, creative media division production/team management, management of all PM related activities. Oh, and heavy documentation.

Contract desing work for the company spanning from traditional 'pencil and paper' animations and character design to 3D-rendered animations and graphic design.
