I currently serve as the Manager of Media/Community Relations & Broadcasting the the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds, affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues. I handle all play-by-play duties as the "voice" of Thunderbirds hockey. In addition, I oversee all media relations as we look to spread awareness of the Thunderbirds brand in the Springfield market. I also am active in our team's community efforts as we strive to be a pillar of what it means to be a part of the Western Massachusetts community. In addition to these initiatives, I also manage all Thunderbirds website content.I previously worked as a production assistant with 106.7 FM, 1670 AM, The Zone, a sports talk station at Madison's Mid-West Family Broadcasting. I helped to produce the morning drive radio show, Kidd Snuff & The Benchwarmers while also creating pre-recorded sports updates that air throughout the Wisconsin Sports Zone Network and 106.7/1670. Prior to my time with Mid-West, I spent two seasons as the Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations with the Madison Capitols USHL hockey team. In that role, I provided play-by-play coverage of all home and away games, compiled press releases and original content for distribution among Madison media partners, forged working relationships with those media partners to help to further establish the brand, and handled all social media marketing and engagement. Before I moved to Wisconsin, I was heavily involved in college at Penn State as a 3-year Sports Director for ComRadio, the student-run, web-based radio station endorsed by the College of Communications. We had a staff of well over 100 members; the directors trained them while overseeing day-to-day operations at the station and maintaining staff schedules. In addition to the leadership role, I also was happily involved in ComRadio's production of Penn State hockey and football. I produced, board-operated, did play-by-play, and beat wrote in some capacity for these sports.
