Student Co-Op for the Core Controls & Automation team. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:Work with machine builders to ensure the controls systems of incoming equipment comply with both Global and Nexteer standards and specifications. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁:Work with plant controls engineers on various projects to integrate new machinery, troubleshoot issues, and optimize processes.𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:Work with team members to research new controls components and brands, with a goal to improve cost savings and optimize processes. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀:- Developed a template program file for Pro-face HMIs using GP-ProEX software.- Updated Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programs to allow for the selection of different shift time options, allowing for more accurate part data collection.- Assisted in developing pneumatic controls template drawings using E-Plan.- Worked with a team of other Interns and Co-ops to build a go-kart from scrap materials and competed in a race against other teams.
