Having been in Business Banking for the last 15 years one thing is clear to me, I have the utmost respect for Australian owned businesses that are helping fuel our Australian economy. I consider myself an extension to my customers businesses offering a holistic approach to banking and future growth for their business.The part of my role I find most rewarding is my customers. Sounds cheesy I know, but they are the reason I come to work every day. I love hearing their story, why they got into business, what drives them both personally and professionally and how I can help them achieve their goals. I consider myself a great connector of people and love forging mutually beneficial relationships with my customers. I am surrounded by a team of specialists who are equipped to assist my customers with all facets of their business.My family often joke I was destined for a career as a banker. My father has been in banking for over 35 years and I believe he is the reason I am as passionate about my role today.I strive to step into a leadership role in the future. I take great personal satisfaction when I can mentor new starters and assist them with finance knowledge and give them confidence in holding valuable conversations with our customers. I look forward to the day I can lead a team; to inspire and motivate as my people leaders have done for me.Outside of work there are few things that give me great pleasure – Golf, Wine and the South Sydney Rabbitohs. If I can finish under par, celebrate with a wine and watch the bunnies get up, well my week is complete.
