Forcepoint is a Raytheon owned provider of business security software and appliances to secure corporate networks from intrusion and accidental or intentional release of sensitive data. As the Sr. Manager of the web security product I oversee a team of 18 engineers and managers.

As the QA Manager I built an effective QA department for Nutonian from scratch to deliver Nutonian’s SaaS and AWS server based software products. Using manual tests, automated Selenium testing, performance testing and failure testing to validate the systems my team raised the bar on what the company was able to achieve. Additionally my role was responsible for identifying and implementing technologies, planning and guiding a test automation architecture, communicating standards of quality to all departments, hiring staff, reporting quality metrics, and longer term project management.

As the founder of the company and designer of our first game concept, Space Trucker, I was responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations. Technology acquisition, Investment acquisition, budgeting, game design, outsource partner management, hiring of staff, incorporation as well as legal and accounting requirements.

As the Director of Engineering I reported directly to the CTO and was responsible for the smooth development and testing of high quality web and mobile game software. Starting from zero I was responsible for hiring over 40 talented individuals and managing both the software and quality assurance teams. I also act as the Technical Director, overseeing software project implementation, systems development, quality standards and schedules. I worked closely with the production group to ensure all technical project goals were met on time, within budget and functioned as envisioned.

As the CTO I oversaw all software development, QA testing and release. I set the technical direction of our software projects. I would interact with customers to help them understand the technical possibilities of their ideas and manage the programing, graphic art and testing teams through the development process. With a team of 12 working in an agile scrum environment we delivered high quality software on time and within budget.

As the Team Lead my focus was the smooth running of the entire EVE Quality Assurance team. I was responsible for allocation of 30+ QA experts to various internal concurrent projects. I oversaw the department’s transition from waterfall development to the agile scrum methodology. Taking part in the process as both Scrummaster and Product Owner. I also configured and managed all of our development technologies such as ticket tracking, and test case management. Additionally I was the point of coordination between Iceland and our 100+ outsourced external tester resources.

I performed all formal testing of software products, developed test plans and scripts, reported on quality metrics, and advised upper management on testing and release status.

•Design, execute, monitor, and interpret testing procedures on all aspects of the back-end software system and all front-end web applications.•Work closely with software developers to identify ‘bugs’ and implement solutions. Process and test program change requests submitted from other sources (i.e., tech support, marketing, etc.).•Work closely with the sales department to advise them on the technical possibilities of new projects, and write up programming spec sheets for development. Act as the communications channel between developers and sales/marketing through all stages of the project.•Act as a resource to the tech support department. Assist with high call volumes and the resolution of difficult technical issues.•Develop, spec, and implement the disaster recovery system. Installation of computers and software at the off-site data center. Monitor application performance and outgoing backup data stream.
