Under the instruction and guidance of the project leader, layout the machine process based on product construction and known material behaviours while incorporating new technologies. Layout design must also follow all OSHA and CE standards. Using Solid Edge, the layout is created into 3D models that are released to manufacturing and then to assembly. Engineering support is required through all phases of production. Once assembled, support is provided to the process technicians to start up and prove the machine.

Test and prove that the machine can function at the customers specification and/or contract requirements while working with a schedule. Designed tray fed laser-marking system for BestCap, which increased productivity versus the one-at-a-time system previously installed cutting marking time by 72%.Redesigned semiautomatic settertile loaders to improve life of lead screws and address safety concerns saving company over $50K annually in replacement part costs.Developed assembly concept design for new Stack Cap product saving the company $30K annually in labor. Second concept, when implemented, will save an additional $45K annually.Developed concept design for BestCap automated final inspection system. When production volume increases the company will realize a savings of $150K annually in labor.
