• Wrote MQTT software to interface with wireless sensor networks to acquire real-time data during burns in and around Orinda and Moraga.
• Wrote an algorithm that uses this data to determine the presence of a fire with a low false alarm rate.
• Software cues the Planet satellite network to take a picture of the area in which the sensor network detects a fire.
• Collaborated and shared results with the Moraga/Orinda Fire District, Planet, and Splunk.

• Organized and led a team of ~10 volunteers to run CodeDay LA: a 24-hour, 150+ attendee hackathon designed for beginners.
• Raised over $1000+ in sponsorships and collaborated with SAP, Splunk, Digi-Key, StateFarm, and more companies to make the event possible.
