As a University of Delaware World Scholar, I pursued an Accounting major with a global perspective. I developed the intercultural skills and competencies that are essential for working in a diverse and interconnected world. Through various on-campus and overseas opportunities, I prepared myself for a future career in Accounting through a global lens.Some of the highlights of my four-year program include:• During my first year, I studied at the University of Auckland in New Zealand in the fall and attended the Spring into Success Conference at the University of Delaware.• Planned to live in the International House (iHouse) Living and Learning Community with other international students in my sophomore year (unfortunately canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic).• Added an International Business minor to my degree to gain valuable insights inro global finance and markets.• Studied abroad in Australia at The University of Technology Sydney in Year 4 of the program and participated in a finance internship.• Presented my global learning experiences and academic interests at the World Scholars Symposium in the spring of my final year.

• Tested entity-level controls and controls relating to the business process areas of: Financial Reporting, Cash, Lending, and Tax.• Prepared clear, well-structured, and effective audit documentation regarding the understanding of client processes.• Implemented data and analytics into the audit by utilizing PowerBI to display interactive income statement and balance sheet analytics.

• Created an Excel-based Ad Sales report that analyzed year-over-year performance metrics, such as sales, sold units, revenue per spot, ratings and CPM Yield, to facilitate better decision-making and revenue growth.• Cleared the deferred revenue account by reviewing over 600 transactions and reconciling more than $1.8 million through 195 journal entries, demonstrating strong accounting skills and attention to detail.• Drafted PowerBI dashboards that transformed complex financial data into clear and compelling visuals, enabling business leaders to make data-driven decisions.• Communicated and collaborated effectively with various departments by creating informative and engaging slide decks, supporting the Director of Risk at workshops, and taking notes to ensure follow-up actions.• Presented my internship achievements and learnings to my team using PowerPoint, showcasing strong presentation skills and confidence.• Developed a comprehensive project plan for the Paris 2024 Olympics using Smartsheet’s advanced features, such as grid and Gantt views, to ensure efficient and streamlined project management.

I had an amazing opportunity to study at The University of Auckland in New Zealand for four months as a first-semester freshman. I successfully navigated the challenges of starting university in a foreign country• Enriched my academic experience by taking courses in Global Politics, Chemistry, Calculus, and Art.• Lived in a residence hall with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.• Balanced my studies with my hobbies of fitness and traveling• Explored the beautiful landscapes and cities of New Zealand and Australia, such as Waiheke Island, Rotoroa Island, Rangitoto Island, Devonport, Rotorua, and Sydney.
