Throughout my life, I have learned traits and skills that will skills that will stick with my for a life time. During sports in my life, communication and hard working were the traits that came the most natural to me. As being a multiple year team captain, being a leader was more than motivating, but leading by example as well.College and work have provide me with the experience to succeed in any role. College has provided me with the basic knowledge. Time management was a big part of my success in college as starting as a Pre-Medical Major and being a full time college athlete. Time was limited during the day. Even when I switch majors a couple time to Math and Business. I learned about how a business should work. Wayne State College has provided me with the most knowledge to grow in my professional career. The classes of an Industrial Technology/Safety Management major, has taught me about safety (topics, OSHA, Accident Hygiene, and Hazardous Materials), recordkeeping, manufacturing techniques, and drafting and design.Wayne State College gave me the chance to internship in a safety field. At Nucor, I was able to use the skills I learned in college. Realistically, the relationship building and the skills I learned as in intern are much more valuable than some of the things I learned in college. Nucor has provided me with the work experience to succeed in the safety field.
