Development------------------• Developed a solution for automated QA-environment refreshes. The solution addressed the growing scale of both the local environments that needed to be refreshed, as well as the number of uniquely-configured production environments that they needed to emulate.• Developed a tool for performing code and database data and configuration washes on production UAT environments.• Designed and implemented a series of SQL stored procedures, SQL Server jobs, Windows tasks, Powershell scripts, and internal processes that provided a custom on-demand anonymized extract of data from production databases, used for BI and investigations.Process Improvement-----------------------------• Refactored the weekly production database extracts to greatly reduce the overhead of system resources during execution.• Implemented Octodeploy for automating daily build releases.• Built a proof-of-concept, end-to-end system for providing Continuous Integration, to be used in the upcoming restructuring of our current development workflow. The implementation automatically built the developing GIT branch in Jenkins, pushed the resulting package to Octodeploy, and released from Octodeploy to Dev and QA servers.• Identified the need for documentation and training resources for new hires. Worked with the team to implement Confluence, and fill it with lots of valuable information on our systems and processes.

Leadership--------------• Managed the Systems team, providing interviewing, training, and the direction for the Systems Administrator employees.• Designed and presented solutions for hardware, high-availability, email, domains, and other infrastructure requirements for clients.• Presented the technology side of sales meetings for prospective clients.Strategic Planning------------------------• Identified and implemented a replacement for the Kaseya IT Management system, which had run out of support for over 5 years, and was too expensive to upgrade. The solution I proposed and implemented – Labtech – provided an even more robust and granular management experience, at an $80,000+ savings.Systems and Network Administration-------------------------------------------------• Rebuilt the entire local infrastructure. The servers were running on Windows Server 2003, on very old hardware. Upgraded all server hardware, and migrated the OS and Active Directory to Windows Server 2012r2.• Built a custom SAN solution for the new infrastructure’s disk requirements, using Windows Server 2012’s features, including clustering, iSCSI targets, and Hyper-V virtualization.• Administrated, monitored, and maintained hundreds of servers and workstations. This included IIS, database, Active Directory, Exchange, and application management.
