I am currently employed as a software development manager at Service Express, where I get to help lead and grow teams of friendly and passionate developers. People and problems motivate me!Previously, I've enjoyed other development roles at Service Express, both as a software application developer and then as a development team lead. In those roles, I was able to focus on some of my favorite things -- turning old code into new possibilities and growing a small team of developers personally and professionally.Golang is my language of choice these days, although I also have years of experience with PHP and plenty of database experience with MSSQL. Previously, I have completed internships at BISSELL and Michigan Office Solutions in their respective IT departments, primarily working with hardware and networking. Throughout my career, I've been able to develop vital soft skills, such as my communication and problem solving skills. I highly enjoy working with others, but also consider myself as a self-starter and can perform as an individual. I have often been referred to as a "people person."Currently, I am very happy in my current role and am not seeking any outside opportunities, but I sincerely thank you for any and all interest.
