Having spent a substantial amount of time working in hospitality in customer facing roles where personality and patience go hand in hand with attention to details and solid knowledge about products and procedures I was nurturing a keen interest in all things related to computers and technology along the way.In my free time I was busy building computers and learning how to troubleshoot problems with Windows and my network. Soon I was giving advice to friends and family on issues related with technology and was getting better and faster at finding solutions to numerous hardware and software problems. I started thinking of possible career in IT when I did my first IT apprenticeship in 2015 awarded with a diploma. After this I started researching what path I can possibly follow in order to gain enough structured knowledge to boost my confidence enough and apply for an actual job in IT.I set my eyes on the CompTIA certification path and started studying. It took a while and along the way I kept expanding my circle of friends and colleagues who needed help with their computers and networks. I am currently providing technical support on various projects for a couple of building companies that need design and installation of SOHO networks for private clients. I am also busy with remote support for people who work from home and have built new systems for a number of clients. Recently I passed in quick succession the CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ exams. I am currently focused on Linux and working on the command line as well participating in various cyber security related activities.My goal is to find a company that will give me the opportunity to apply what I know in a more professional environment where I can train and gain hands-on experience and be able to study alongside.
