Worked as Director at Research Development and Standards Organisation, Lucknow and has been instrumental in indigenizing 3 phase propulsion system for locomotives, suburban trains, intercity and Metro trains. Has extensive experience in dealing with international consultancy firms in structural and interior design of coaches. Formulated technical and commercial specs for manufacture of Aluminum carbody coaches in India. Has vast experience in design, and manufacture of metro trains. Headed design and manufacture of Metro trains at Integral coach factory chennai. Worked as Chief Design Engineer for eight years at ICF and responsible for design and manufacture of Air conditioned suburban trains, MEMUs, and DEMUS. Headed design and Development of Vandebharat Train, the first semi high speed trainset on Indian Railways. The Vandebharat train been been successfully proved at 180 kmph. As head of rolling stock design, and manufacture streamlined production of trainsets and more than 50 Vandebharat trains are manufactured at ICF by October 2023 and running all across IR network. Instrumental in complete switch over from Carten steel to Stainless body coaches and 3 Phase Propulsion. Headed planning operations including process planning and material planning at ICF.Worked as Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer on South East Centreal Railway, Bilaspur- which is a freight intensive Railway - and looked after Rolling stock maintenance.Worked as as Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer of Southern Railway, a major Coaching RIlway on IR with 6 divisions. Responsible for Rolling stock maintenance.Worked as Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer at Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. ICF is one of the largest Rolling stock Manufacturers in the world with great versatility. Over all incharge of coach design, Manufacture, Planning and Operations of the Factory. Headed Rail Coach Factory Kapurtala as General Manager. RCF is one of the modern Rail Coach Factories of Indian Railways. It produces Stainless Steel coaches and Mainline Electrical Multiple Units ( MEMU). Established production of Vande Metro trains at RCF. Currently working with Delhi Metro as Senior General Manager of Rolling stock project at Sricity, Chennai.
