As long as I can remember, I've dreamed of a career that involved helping others. That's why I picked civil engineering. I want to make a difference in people's lives.Since becoming a student at Cal Poly SLO, I have brought enthusiasm and leadership to my studies. I love collaborating with others in the classroom. In my civil engineering courses, I work hard digging into the critical thinking behind the engineering process. Beyond academics, I lead and participate in the "Learn by Doing" environment at Cal Poly. I am the President of Cal Poly's Institute of Transportation Engineers chapter, where I coordinate a board of officers to energize Cal Poly's transportation community. I'm involved in the Society of Civil Engineers club and compete on design teams for the Pacific Southwest Symposium (PSWS) competition.When I'm not working on homework or at a club meeting, I'm likely playing trombone in the symphony or teaching others through the orientation program. And you'll always see my biking or walking from one spot to the next!
