Legal Director – Virgin Media Business and TV and Entertainment • Provision of legal services to Virgin Media’s B2B business (Enterprise (SMB, LME and Public Sector)) and Virgin Media’s TV and Media Business B2B2C• Managing and directing two legal teams (b2b and TVE) comprising 8 lawyers (varying levels of qualification and experience from legal counsel to acting HoD)• Supporting senior business stakeholders and EC members (Managing Director for VMB and Chief Entertainment Officer for TVE) and associated SLTs in shaping and achieving business goals and strategy.• Supporting the General Counsel and other Legal and Corporate Affairs Directors in achieving Virgin Media’s legal operating strategy, cultural vision and implementing initiatives to develop and grow talent across the department to achieve a sustainable, agile and empowered legal team• Management of legal budget (external and internal legal services)• Provision of hands on senior commercial legal support for critical high value and strategic sales and procurement contracts including: • Structuring, drafting, and advising on carriage and app agreement with Public Services Broadcaster• Concluding contracts and SLT advice on App agreements with Netflix and Disney• Negotiation, advisory and drafting support for sports rights• Advising and drafting settlements agreements with Tier 1 content providers • Supporting the launch of Virgin Media’s IPTV streaming service
