I am a Senior Category Manager specialising in the energy sector – Electricity and Natural Gas. I am responsible for managing the whole of Victorian Government’s three State Purchase Contracts in this sector, with a spend in excess of $90 million. I enjoy building stakeholder relationships across multiple business divisions, departments, agencies and suppliers.I have over ten years of experience in providing financial and commercial advice, economic and financial evaluation and modelling, risk assessment, analysis and allocation, project management, project development and operational planning. I have experience in both the public and private sectors and have worked on major projects locally and overseas.Before my current role at the Department of Treasury and Finance, I was with RK Consultancy Services, where I undertook projects in risk management, financial and economic modelling and project management. Prior to that I had been an independent arbitrage trader in the UK. I have been a consultant to the East Timorese Government as a Capacity Building Adviser, engaged to bolster their expertise in budget analysis, formulation and implementation. I was a Senior Adviser to the Victorian Government on the 2006 Commonwealth Games, on both operational issues and infrastructure projects involved with preparing for the Games, and was also a key member of the Victoria Police price review and developed a recruit costing model that is still in use within the Victorian Government.
