During more than 35 years of professional working in the legal field, banking, tasks entrusted with involves: • Assist the Executive Management and Departments in all legal matters pertaining to the Bank and ensure that the Bank is in compliance with Central Bank directives and all other laws and regulations pertaining to the industry. • Liaise and coordinate with outsourced legal firms commissioned by the Bank to undertake certain assignments.• Interact with the Ministry of Commerce and industry, Securities Market, Ministry of Housing, Department of Real Estate Registration and Documentation, and other competent authorities with regard to registration, perfection of securities and release of charges over shares, assets and properties held as collateral to ensure repayment of loans and advances and effecting necessary amendments in the registered legal mortgage transferred from Credit Administration.• Liaise and coordinate, on regular basis, with Credit and Remedial/ Recovery/ Collection Departments and branches for enforcement of judgments issued in favour of the Bank with a view of attaching assets or/and foreclosing mortgaged assets. Co-ordination also with a view to reaching amicable settlements on classified loans and non-performing assets in order to maximize recoveries expeditiously and cost-effectively. Arrange initiation of legal actions, foreclosure of mortgages and liquidation of securities.• Verification of account opening/ other forms to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, verification of commercial registration documents and board /members/partners resolutions in respect of corporate customers seeking credit and other services from the bank, and other documents received/obtained by credit and other Departments, Branches as security for advances. In addition of legal researches preparation and examination on up-grading working entities efficiency
