When I was pregnant with my third child, I was told I would not be able to work fulltime after coming back from maternity leave. This comment left me in shock. My Hispanic genes were undeniable, I was furious so I decided to prove everyone wrong that having several kids would prevent me from exploring a professional career. At this time, I was already a board member of the cooperative housing association I was living in and after giving birth, I got selected to Chairman of the board, as first female ever. I then started in a new position as a Customer Service Representative, and only after a few months I was already given more responsibility and was to train the new established Business Center Amazon team placed in Poland. This I did with success and with my strong system skills, I got a role as AX Super user. I established a small Super user team, consisting of 3 members placed in different regions, (US and APAC). With the Super user role, I took on more and more responsibility (more than intended with the role) and explored different areas outside Customer Service, which led me to being promoted to Logistics and Process Specialist and later Logistics Manager. In the past years I have worked with optimizing Supply Chain processes. My biggest achievements:- Building an AX Super user team supporting Customer Service- Contributing to the implementation of new warehouse structure (HUB)- Establishing a focused Logistics team to optimize logistical and warehouse processesWith my broad experience and collaboration with different teams and partners, both in person and virtually, I have gotten to know people all over the world and some relationships have turned into friendships. To me it’s very important to have fun at work, as the workplace is where we spent the most time. I love my job. As a child I wanted to be Crime Scene Investigator and I do feel that this is what I am doing just in a different way, less dramatic. I identify a process that can be optimized, then I investigate and analyze it and come up with a solution how to change it by involving the relevant people. I enjoy challenges and overcoming these together with great people gives me purpose. My motivation is to inspire and encourage other women, especially mums, that we can do it all – both being amazing mothers but also have a professional career and strive at it! We can’t succeed alone, we need family, friends, good colleagues and an employer that supports us. Together we are stronger.
