Initiated by the Centre for Media Studies (CMS), a research and advocacy organization working in India, CMS VATAVARAN is a pioneer in international film festivals and forums on environment and wildlife in India, which includes various parallel events such as symposiums, panel discussions, and workshops. The festival is envisioned as a movement - an attempt to change minds, attitudes and policies using communication.Program Operational Leadership:• Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs of CMS VATAVARAN.• Identify opportunities for CMS VATAVARAN to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challenges.• Lead, coach, develop and retain a high-performance team with an emphasis on developing capacity in planning, budgeting and program implementation. • Help the organization in ensuring the continued financial viability of the organization through sound fiscal management.External Relationship Development:• Manage and cultivate existing relationships with different stakeholders and funders to secure and expand recurring revenue streams.• Publicly representation of CMS VATAVARAN with the media and external public groups including community, government, and private organizations.Strategic Plan Implementation:• Provide programmatic leadership and input for all strategic plan implementation processes with the Director-General. • Train and direct the team for the smooth implement the strategic plan and program.• Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of the program implementation.

Vigyan Prasar (VP) is an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.The principal objective of VP is to serve India’s science popularization agenda. This is achieved through several strategically important two – way stakeholder specific approaches to communicate about principles and practice of science and technology and implications for development and quality of life. Science popularization, therefore serves as a robust knowledge led tool to fulfill three mutually reinforcing public policy objectives.

Financial Skills Radio; directly responsible for the Radio Show content. Managing four other state teams: Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bihar and leading a team in four locations: Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, Pune. • Writing, researching, coordinating, producing, directing, recording and airing weekly 22 minute live radio chat shows for young people in each location, doubling every two months i.e. to two times a week • Travel to manage teams, content and deadlines • Guide research teams in four states to explore all financial schemes in-depth • Identifying the best guests for the show in all locations and ensuring guests are prepped, research is in place to run the show well • To lead, publicize and film, RJ auditions in four cities. • Verifying the impact of the show and reporting. Tracking every program for the number of calls, responses, SMS, drive traffic online to radio, from TV to radio, and to work with partners to ensure they’re getting coverage and that young people are engaging in their scheme. • To write quarterly reports on impact - in detail, with statistics, and concrete proven change • To build an India wide listener following of 1 million young people age 17-25 who live in poverty.

I was also responsible for the contracts, manage the sourcing volume & event deadlines, oversee film-sourcing efforts, assure clearance of approvals /agreements/submissions, manage film archive, design, oversee/launch online marketing/PR campaigns (online as well as offline) and outreaching through various social networking sites.
