CurrentInitiated by the Centre for Media Studies (CMS), a research and advocacy organization working in India, CMS VATAVARAN is a pioneer in international film festivals and forums on environment and wildlife in India, which includes various parallel events such as symposiums, panel discussions, and workshops. The festival is envisioned as a movement - an attempt to change minds, attitudes and policies using communication.Program Operational Leadership:• Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs of CMS VATAVARAN.• Identify opportunities for CMS VATAVARAN to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challenges.• Lead, coach, develop and retain a high-performance team with an emphasis on developing capacity in planning, budgeting and program implementation. • Help the organization in ensuring the continued financial viability of the organization through sound fiscal management.External Relationship Development:• Manage and cultivate existing relationships with different stakeholders and funders to secure and expand recurring revenue streams.• Publicly representation of CMS VATAVARAN with the media and external public groups including community, government, and private organizations.Strategic Plan Implementation:• Provide programmatic leadership and input for all strategic plan implementation processes with the Director-General. • Train and direct the team for the smooth implement the strategic plan and program.• Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of the program implementation.
