Zooropa Foods was incubated by SAIF Partners, a leading private equity firm to create a platform for investment in companies engaged in the business of Quick Service Restaurants. The company currently has investment in 2 companies operating out of 5 states of India through a network on ~100 retail outlets. I am responsible for managing the finance of Zooropa foods and the 2 portfolio companies. Key responsibilities include • Working closely with the CEOs on various strategic projects; advising them in financial matters• Fund raising • Ensuring adherence to industry specific regulations • Managing the cash flow to the optimum • Designing and implementation of standardized dashboards, MIS & information templates • Leading the budget process and tracking the performance of the companies • Ensuring the timely circulation of the monthly reports to the stakeholders • Monitoring the performance of Non-Finance functions of the organizations• Supervising the accounting function of the companies • Overseeing the finalization of accounts and review of the same by the statutory auditors• Worked with the cost auditors of the companies• Adherence to all applicable direct and indirect tax laws.• Identifying process gaps and designing the right processes across all functions• Ensuring filing of reports related to foreign remittances with RBI

UHGIS is a subsidiary of US based UnitedHealth Group, a fortune 18 company. It is a captive centre and is providing services in the area of ITES, BPO and F&A. Established in 2006 it has an employee strength of over 15000 and presence at 3 locations in India, Philippines and Ireland. Key resposibilities were - • Monthly Closure of books and reporting of monthly financial results• Explanation to variances and reporting of key metrics• Monthly presentation of results and company’s performance to the management• Monitoring and reporting of Capital expenses• Preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecast of the Indian and Philippines entity • Unitary costing by line of business and by products within each line of business• Monitoring profitability by line of business, product and geography• Tracking the progress of approved business cases for investments made by the company• Capital Controlling• Various reports to the US Corporate• Preparation of business cases for new investments to be made by the company • Cost Controlling• Pricing of services• Cost Benefit analysis of new engagements• Supervising monthly billing process
